We launched this campaign mid-2020, when travelers were still wary of traveling far from home due to the pandemic. Consumer sentiment studies showed a desire for urban dwellers to visit destinations offering wide open spaces and that were located within driving distance, and Siskiyou was positioned to offer this to both the Medford and Redding markets.
Assets included videos showing a road trip from both perspectives (coming south from Medford and north from Redding) as well as display ads highlighting open roads, Mt. Shasta, and wide open spaces to roam.
