Tonya Dowse has been the Executive Director of the Siskiyou Economic Development Council since 2005 and of the Discover Siskiyou team since its inception in 2015. Tonya successfully led the industry strategy among lodging property owners in Siskiyou that led to the development of the Tourism Improvement District and Discover Siskiyou. Tonya has over 20 years of experience in Economic Development and has always recognized the importance of the tourism sector to the economy in Siskiyou. Tonya represents the communities of Siskiyou County at the state level in leadership and advisory board positions. Tonya has economic development experience in several locations in California and Oregon and has in-depth knowledge in economic and community development. Her experience in marketing, analysis, administration, and leadership has been extremely important to the organization as well as partners in the community.
