What is influencer marketing?

Influencer marketing (also influence marketing) is a form of marketing in which focus is placed on influential people rather than the target market as a whole. It identifies the individuals that have influence over potential customers, and orients marketing activities around these influencers.

How do we leverage this type of marketing?

For Discover Siskiyou, this means working with qualified influencers to bring them to Siskiyou to have their own adventure, and sharing it with their own communities.

What are some results?

In FY2017/18 the Discover Siskiyou team invested $23,000 into this initiative and received $147,000 back in target audience exposure and engagement. Not only does this provide Siskiyou with exposure in the marketplace, it allows individual businesses and communities to benefit through custom itinerary development.
