We have had a number of inquiries about when the next round of Event Marketing Awards will open. Due to the program becoming highly competitive, we are working on a new, more competitive application process. We anticipate applications to go live this month, and will send out an email when the applications are available on our Discover Siskiyou Industry Site.

Film siskiyou: film fam tour
Film Siskiyou: Film FAM
We had the privilege of partnering with the Upstate Ca Film Commission to host 11 industry professionals on this year's Film FAM tour through the region. Highlights from the Siskiyou portion of the tour included Lake Siskiyou Campground, Hedge Creek Falls, Dunsmuir CA, the City of Dunsmuir, and Railroad Park Resort.
We were happy to grant the tour's request to view locations in and around Dunsmuir and Mount Shasta this year, and are excited to showcase more of our county in future tours. Our staff is following up with several industry professionals from the group who have expressed interest in filming motion pictures in Siskiyou!
Our team continues to add to the location library on the Film Siskiyou website as well as assist production companies obtain required permits to film in Siskiyou.
cycle siskiyou
We continue to add to our new, redesigned Cycle Siskiyou website including local cycling events, ride routes, bike services, local lodging options, and more. Our next project is to integrate GPS routes into the site and continue to promote the Cycle Siskiyou brand on mountain, road, and gravel biking media outlets.

USA TODAY’S National Parks Guide has information about historic, hiking essentials, and RV destinations as well as National Park sites in every state. We are excited to promote the Lava Beds National Monument in this special edition, which is on newsstands now!

IPW is the travel industry's premier international marketplace and the largest generator of travel to the U.S. Our team attended this year's event in Los Angeles, meeting with tour operators, international and domestic leisure travel buyers, and travel organizations from across the country to pitch Siskiyou as a premier outdoor recreation destination for travelers worldwide. To reduce costs, we shared a booth with Explore Butte, and we are excited to continue partnering with them and other nearby destinations to promote regional travel.
