film siskiyou
Film Siskiyou is in full swing! Two independent films are currently in production in Siskiyou - each project will spend three weeks in the area, generating an estimated $50,000 in direct travel spend during their stay. Over the summer, multiple film crews arrived to document the removal and restoration of the Klamath dams, while two other teams came into the region to film commercials related to the project. Additionally, smaller streaming services have produced outdoor recreation shows in the region, each contributing 1-2 nights of bookings at local lodging establishments. Filming requests continue to come in as we actively promote the area through FLICS and the California Film Commission and work with producers to meet their requests and needs.
Shasta Gravity Adventures Retail Display
We are excited to announce that Discover Siskiyou has a retail and informational display in Shasta Gravity Adventures’ new shop near downtown Mount Shasta. Visitors (and locals!) can catch shuttles and relax in the space before/after their rides. Come catch a shuttle and check out our merch! Fall hours are Fri-Sun during shuttle times—- 11am and 1pm, with expanded hours to come.
