Monthly Update: October 2022
Coming Soon: 'Gamified' Siskiyou Passports
We're excited to announce that our team is working with digital passport company Bandwango to create and launch a series of four passes that will organize things to do and see in Siskiyou into itineraries that integrate directly into our website. This "gamified" travel experience has proven to be quite successful for other destinations, and we are excited to launch our first pass, "Town & Trails," this December. The pass allows participants to collect points for prizes by checking into trailheads and tourism/hospitality businesses of our choosing. Not only will this allow us to direct visitors away from overcrowded attractions and toward less visited areas of the region, it will help us generate leads, drive traffic to our website, and generate revenue for businesses who choose to participate.
How it Works:
1. Users sign up on our website to receive a link to download the pass via text or email
2. User downloads the pass to their phone
3. Users check in via GPS on their phone at the locations in the pass to collect points and win prizes
Participants who complete the entire pass will be entered to win a grand prize trip to Siskiyou! If you own a travel/tourism related business and would like to learn more about being included in future passes, please email heather@discoversiskiyou.com

Pinkbike + Cycling Tips Ads
We are proud to include Grinduro's affiliation with Siskiyou County in our latest ad set with Pinkbike. Three ad versions will cycle through the popular mountain biking site this fall/winter to further promote Siskiyou as a vacation destination for mountain bikers as well as promote Siskiyou as the home to Grinduro's California race. And for those who prefer road cycling to trails, we've got you covered with a second set of ads that will run on Cycling Tips. We'll share those with you when they go live!
Tourism / Hospitality Business Data
Are you looking for consumer data to help you make informed business and marketing decisions? Our tourism team has access to software from Placer.ai that allows us to pull a number of reports on local businesses including customer demographics (age, hometown, income, interests, etc), popular visit times, visit duration, traffic data, and much more. If you own or manage a lodging property and would like to sit down with a member of our team to pull data specific to your property, please email Jason Young at jason@siskiyoucounty.org
Hotel Lobby Loop Video
You can view a 90-second silent loop video we put together highlighting places to see in Siskiyou. We created the video as a tool for lodging properties to show in their lobbies/dining areas in order to highlight all of the things to see and do in Siskiyou to encourage extended and/or repeat visits. If you'd like us to mail you a flash drive pre-loaded with the loop video, please email kevin@discoversiskiyou.com
Email Marketing
You can click to view the marketing email we sent to our subscriber list to promote all of the fall events happening in Siskiyou.
REMINDER: You can now submit your events, with photos, directly on our website.
