Monthly Highlights: November 2023
integrated booking engine is live
The new integrated booking engine is LIVE on DiscoverSiskiyou.com! For the first time ever, guests to our website will be able to book directly from our site (with zero fees to the lodging properties), which we anticipate resulting in increased bookings. Additionally, as seen in the image above, visitors are able to filter properties with a large variety of amenities and features. If your property's listing is missing amenities, please email jason@siskiyoucounty.org and we will make edits for you. Each lodging property may opt in to a free dashboard where they can edit their listing page as well as access key visitor demographics information. Our team will reach out to you to set up a meeting with the software company to walk you through the setup.
Next steps for our team include posting the booking widget on event listings to encourage overnight stays in conjunction with events as well as setting up activity + lodging packages that can be booked directly from our site. If you operate a guide service or tourist-related activity or rental and would like to participate, please contact us!
Sacramento Digital Billboard Results
The billboard ads above ran for the entire month of October along all major highways in the Sacramento area. We are very pleased with the results, which trend well above industry standards (as did our previous two campaigns from last year, which the company attributes to our captivating artwork). Below are highlights from the campaign:
256,613 total :08 second spots delivered
9,212,732 total impressions delivered
.5% click-thru rate on retargeted ads served to devices that passed billboards (well above industry average of .15%)
Event Marketing Awards Round 2 Opens Jan. 1
On January 1, 2024, 10 new $3,000 event marketing awards will become available for local event organizers. Apply online at https://www.industry.discoversiskiyou.com/event-marketing-program.
